“Women of Palazzo Besta – Stories of women in Valtellina in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries”

On September 22, at 17.00, the exhibition “Donne di Palazzo Besta – Storie di donne in Valtellina tra Cinquecento e Seicento” opened in Palazzo Besta. It will remain open until October 21st 2018.

The exhibition itinerary is designed to accompany the visitor by describing the bonds between the women of the Besta family, the different pictorial cycles visible in the halls of the palace and the main historical events of the period.

The archival documents and the literary texts on display provide invaluable information for understanding the complex vicissitudes of the family and the historical and cultural context.

The exhibition also features the launch of a free app dedicated to Palazzo Besta.
